History and Details of Palmer site:
"We have used the same antenna since start-up in May 1997 - Dorne Margolin choke ring by Ashtech. The 0.0794 m value is the fixed height relationship between the ARP and bottom of divot (MRP) in a 5/8-inch threaded stainless steel rod set in top of 10 cm diameter pipe, where the pipe length is 2.03 meters. The pipe is attached to a baseplate that is bolted to 4 stainless steel bolts embedded in bedrock to a depth of about 30 cm. The bottom of baseplate is about 20cm above rock surface.
As noted, the physical relationship of the antenna to the MRP has not changed. However, the relationship of effective phase center may have been slightly altered when in January 1999, we exchanged the Ashtech cone type antenna cover with a SCIGN dome cover."
